Decorating & Food Ideas

Candyland Party Decorations

Decorate by mixing and matching solid paperware in a rainbow of colours. Setting each place with rainbow fruit snacks, candy bars, and other vibrant snacks to accent. Many specialty candy stores also sell plates of chocolate you can eat! Here are a few other Candyland decorating ideas:

· Set up tables in the games or food stations. Peanut Brittle Home, Lollipop Forests, Gingerbread Plum Trees, Peppermint Woodland, and Gumdrop Mountains mark them.

· Customize setting with candy bars or lollipops for each location.

· Decorate the party area floor to resemble the Candyland board game.

· Separate the M&Ms by color and arrange to form a rainbow in bowls.

· Have adults dressed up as Candyland characters at the party to suit the theme.

Candyland Party Food

In addition to traditional favorites like pizza, chicken fingers, hamburgers, or hotdogs, you can add some Candyland themed food into the mix. Here are some ideas:

· Cut sandwiches into gingerbread man shapes with a cookie cutter.

· Arrange fruits and veggies for a rainbow feel.

· Decorate cupcakes with different types of candy or provide the sweets to guests so they can decorate their own.

· Serve candy apples, candy necklaces, rainbow goldfish crackers, cotton candy, or rainbow cake.

· Use licorice twists as drinking straws! Have guests bite the ends of the candy and the straws are ready to go!

· For dessert, set up a Queen Frostine ice cream sundae bar. Provide vanilla and chocolate ice cream, whipped cream, cherries, nuts, fruit and candy toppings.

For the cake, you can ask your local grocery store if they have a Candyland themed cake or decorate your own using the board game as your guide. Use peppermint sticks, M&Ms, gum drops, licorice, and other candy to inspire you!
